Tani
by Sonju DiCarmen
Archi is young, impetuous, and full of bubbling energy. Aside from his tireless dedication as dynamic super cop to free London’s streets from criminal elements, he manages to dive into the night scene on a daily basis and conquer the endless number of clubs. Archi has youth on his side, is handsome, and irresistible, not only in his eyes but seems to appeal to both males and females alike.
Oh well, he appeals to just about everyone except perhaps one or the other husband. That doesn’t bother Archi though. At first. He does warn each of his conquests openly before spending the night together, whether male or female, that he is in it only to have a superficial, fun, and satisfying escapade! He flutters around without any heartaches, shackles, and words like I love you, as that is precisely what he fears. Love. Relationship – and everything that comes along with it.
What happens, though, when a actual peaceful demonstration turns Archi’s world upside down? What if he is forced to acknowledge his physical limits? When his family too is left breathless, while he struggles to survive. What if, for the first time ever, he experiences what loneliness really means in life without certain things like a partner, love, and soul-searching conversations?
He hesitates for a few moments. Wouldn’t sharing life’s travails with someone be nice? Destiny, however, plays tricks on his new partner, Tani and destroys all thoughts on the matter. All he knows is that he was damned right about his commitment fears and strives even harder to boycott all kinds of intimacy. It’s not just the fact that he never, ever, wants to marry anyone – especially not the skinny little scarecrow in front of him who didn’t even fit in his list of preys. No, Archi definitely knows that you never trust anyone, both at work and in matters of the heart.
Does Archi’s heart see it that way too? Does fate have other plans for the young police officer?
Let’s see…
